Michael Williams, storytellerMichael ‘Doc’ Williams tells contemporary and traditional tales from around the world with a particular focus on North America. His repertoire includes Native American tales, Canadian folktales, and stories and songs from Appalachia, the Wild West, and the folk tradition. He particularly enjoys sharing stories and songs of peace and non-conflict drawn from a variety of cultures and suitable for all ages.

As an experienced storyteller and teacher, Michael happily works with audiences young and old, but he is particularly at home working with teenagers and young adults. He has incorporated storytelling into his counselling and peace education work with young people. He's also a member of the Edinburgh-based ‘Dirty Rascals’ storytelling group which explores the therapeutic and healing power of stories and storytelling.

Michael is an experienced workshop facilitator and has offered numerous trainings in storytelling and its application to teaching, care work and personal and professional development. He's also available to talk about peace education and can offer short trainings and workshops for children and adults.
